Texas Hold'em Poker Rules on Betting

One of America's famous poker variants, Texas hold 'em poker has four betting rounds. Here are some poker rules on betting in playing the card game.

One poker rule of Texas hold 'em is that a player should always take the role of a dealer. Being a dealer, according to poker rules, means one also is the button, and this role is rotated to each player in a clockwise rotation. The two other players left of the dealer successively are the so-called small and big blinds. Being "blinds" means being the first to put bets in the pot before any cards are given or dealt, according to poker rules.

All poker players, according to poker rules, get two cards each, with the faces of the cards turned down. Cards with faces turned down so nobody sees them are called hole cards. When the first betting round comes, the person next to the left side of the big blind puts in the first bet. Rememebr that the small and the big blinds had already put in their bets before the cards were dealt, according to Texas hold'em poker rules. Then the rest of the poker players take turns betting in a clockwise manner. As per poker rules, after the first betting have been done, three community cards are flipped with faces turned up for all to see. These are placed on the poker table and are referred to as the flop.

In the second round of betting in poker, some players are likely to be out of the game. So the first of the remaining players to the left of the dealer or button initiates the bet, followed by several others in a clockwise manner, according to poker rules. After all the bets are in, another community card (the fourth) is shown with its face turned up for all to see. It is placed on the table with the other first 3, and this card is referred to as the "turn."

Poker rules say that in the third betting the bets are doubled down on the turn card. The first player left of the dealer begins the bet followed by others in a clockwise manner. After the bettings, the "river" card is turned face up as another community card, and then another round of betting ensues on it. Poker rules say that this goes on until the fourth bets and a winner emerges by calling the bets.

Texas hold 'em poker rules constitute 4 betting rounds based on a set of community cards.
